Accouter Launches the Global Wealth & Luxury Interiors Report 2025

The Luxury Property Forum is proud to announce its collaboration with Accouter on the launch of the Global Wealth & Luxury Interiors Report 2025, a landmark study exploring the evolving values of Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individuals (UHNWIs) and the shifting definition of luxury in today’s real estate landscape.

As legacy, lifestyle, and investment priorities continue to intersect, this report offers critical insight into how design, wellbeing, and purpose are redefining what it means to live and invest, well, at the top end of the global property market.

Accouter’s introduction to the report

“This report explores a defining moment in the evolution of wealth and luxury, where legacy meets lifestyle, and design must do more than impress; it must express values, support wellbeing, and deliver lasting impact. As the priorities of Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individuals (UHNWIs) continue to shift, so too does the definition of what makes a property, or an investment, truly exceptional.

Through insights from leaders across real estate, interiors, and lifestyle, this report unpacks the most influential trends shaping the high-end market today: from the rise of Gen Z wealth and the growing appetite for design-led, turnkey living, to the surge in sustainability expectations and the globalisation of prime real estate.”*

A special roundtable

To mark the launch, Accouter hosted a closed-door roundtable chaired by Priya Rawal, Founder of The Luxury Property Forum, featuring leading voices across the sector:

  • Chris Richmond – Partner, Head of Residential, CIT Group Partners LLP

  • Sai Shanmugam – Sales Director, Opes Financial Partners

  • Dimitrios Tsivrikos – Founder and Director, THE TAGLI

  • Rhian Barker – Group Design Director, Accouter

Together, the panel explored the convergence of craftsmanship, authenticity, and values across the design and property landscape—and what it means for the future of global luxury.

Priya Rawal commented:

“Luxury, as we once knew it, is evolving. The world’s wealthiest individuals are no longer just acquiring homes, they are curating lives. Spaces are being shaped not only by aesthetics, but by deeper drivers: wellbeing, purpose, privacy, and permanence. Across the global luxury landscape, we’re seeing a fundamental shift in what high-net-worth buyers value and why.

At The Luxury Property Forum, we work closely with the visionaries shaping the super-prime landscape from developers and designers to contractors and advisors, and private wealth experts across London, New York, Dubai and beyond. From where we sit, it’s clear: the definition of luxury is shifting, and UHNWIs are leading that change.

The most discerning clients are no longer focused on square footage alone. They are seeking homes that reflect their values, enhance their wellbeing, and offer emotional as well as financial return. This is about legacy as much as lifestyle, and design is now at the very heart of that.

Across our global membership, we’ve seen a growing demand for curated living. Interior design has become a commercial differentiator, not a finishing touch. Thoughtfully designed spaces are achieving faster sale and higher premiums, particularly among international buyers who expect turnkey, move-in-ready homes with soul.

Wellness, too, is no longer a luxury, it’s a prerequisite. From sensory layouts and spa-grade amenities to biophilic design and seamless technology, the expectation is that homes should actively support healthier, calmer living.

Another defining theme is discretion. Today’s UHNWIs are drawn to quiet confidence over overt displays of wealth. They seek homes that are considered, refined, and deeply personal and spaces that feel timeless rather than trend-led. There’s a clear flight to quality, authenticity, and meaning.

And, of course, values matter. Sustainability, ethical sourcing, and design with purpose are not optional extras. They are becoming essential in how buyers choose to live and invest. From B Corp-certified brands to carbon-neutral practices, clients are placing increasing importance on doing good while living well.

This report captures that evolution beautifully. Through Accouter’s lens and the voices of global leaders in property, interiors, and luxury, we see a market being redefined by integrity, creativity, and human connection.

Luxury is no longer about what a space says. It’s about how it feels, how it functions, and how it reflects who we are.”
