The LPF Member, and award-winning architectural interior design practice Oliver Burns Studio has completed a breathtaking grade II listed private residence on one of Highgate’s most prestigious residential streets.

Appointed by long-standing clients to transform their primary London residence, Oliver Burns Studio was commissioned to design an interior that honours the property’s iconic heritage while introducing a contemporary aesthetic tailored to modern family living.

At the centre of the project lies a thoughtful blend of the home’s original period features with contemporary elements. “Our approach centred on seamlessly blending old and new,” Sharon continued. “The home now reflects both the spirit of its architectural past and the day to day needs of the lovely family who live there.”

The Highgate Legacy Residence stands as a distinguished example of refined living, carefully realised in accordance with the studio’s guiding ethos of ‘Thoughtful Luxury.’ Every element of the home has been conceived with meticulous care and attention, with bespoke furniture designed to complement and elevate the property’s original architectural features.

A serene palette of sage green, powder blue, and duck egg punctuates an otherwise neutral design. Luxurious layers of textiles and bespoke cabinetry introduce moments of aesthetic interest and luxury comfort. Further consideration has been given to the curation of the client’s exceptional collection of contemporary art. Featuring works by Damien Hirst, Dale Chihuly, and Pablo Picasso, the collection enriches the interiors, introducing moments of visual contemplation and delight throughout the home.
