Building Responsible Business: We Are PRIME at Five Years

LPF Partner, We Are PRIME, the not-for-profit social enterprise providing a practical framework for responsible business improvement across the built environment, has made a significant move as it marks its fifth anniversary.

Through a model built on self-assessment, shared principles and collective learning, the organisation has spent the past five years helping its members, many of them among the most respected names in the super-prime sector, including a number of LPF members, embed meaningful change into everyday operations. Not through regulation or rhetoric, but through community, accountability and measurable progress.

The launch of five new initiatives marks an important next step, reflecting both the maturity of the organisation and its continued commitment to broadening the impact its members can have across the sector.

About We Are PRIME

Founded as a not-for-profit social enterprise, We Are PRIME provides a practical framework for continuous improvement. Members assess themselves against shared principles, measure their progress, and share what they learn with others in the network. Over the past five years, this approach has helped Members embed responsible practices into everyday operations.

Marking Five Years

As PRIME celebrates its fifth anniversary, it marks the milestone with the unlocking of five initiatives to support its Members. This includes:

  • the first full time staff member;

  • the launch of the PRIME Officers Club;

  • a partnership with the Considerate Constructors Scheme; and

  • an update to the Champion 5 scoring and the launch of a digital Community Hub.

Partnership with the Considerate Constructors Scheme

We Are PRIME has announced a new partnership with the Considerate Constructors Scheme. The partnership marks an opportunity to strengthen connections across the sector, as well as supporting the sharing of real stories and impact that Members are delivering every day. Both organisations share an underlying commitment to raise standards across the industry through the value of community and shared learning, with this partnership bringing both of those ideas together in a practical way.

PRIME is a community of members who learn from and inspire each other to do better business. We are delighted to be expanding that community through our partnership with the Considerate Constructors Scheme. Together, we will support our members to achieve more, driving meaningful and measurable impact across the sector.
— PRIME Founders, Darragh, Will and Chris
At the Considerate Constructors Scheme, with nearly three decades of raising standards across the industry, we share PRIME’s belief in the power of community to drive better business. Through this strategic partnership, we are bringing our networks together to raise standards, supporting organisations to embed best practice and create a positive impact across the built environment.
— April Comerford, Director of Corporate Development at the Considerate Constructors Scheme

Looking ahead, both organisations see a strong opportunity for collaboration including shared learning, joint engagement, and new ways to support Members. The aim is to help organisations continue delivering positive and lasting impact across the sector.

Launch of the Community Hub

The launch of the Community Hub provides a space for Members to view case studies, share initiatives and access lessons along their journeys. The Hub is also open to non-Members on a limited basis, giving prospective Members an insight into how PRIME works and examples of progress in practice.

Five years ago, We Are PRIME started with a belief that responsible business should be practical, measurable and collaborative. We are proud of the progress our Members have made. The changes may not always be loud, but they are real and lasting. The Community Hub is a natural next step. It gives us a space to share what works, learn from one another and support more businesses in taking action. We Are PRIME has never been about perfection, it is about steady improvement and raising the bar together.
— PRIME Founders, Darragh, Will and Chris

As the network looks to the future, the aim is to grow membership and expand the impact of the community. The Community Hub plays a central role by making knowledge and practical examples more accessible to the wider industry.
