The Luxury Property Forum is delighted to celebrate a major member milestone as Harding Green acquires the business assets of fellow LPF member The London Broker. Harding Green is working with founders Rupert Collingwood and Charlie Willis to create a new national platform for independent agencies and brokers across the UK.

Harding Green has said that the combined venture intends to “supercharge the broker model” by upgrading the operational infrastructure behind The London Broker brand. The move brings together two of the UK’s most established independent brokerage names, in a sector that has expanded rapidly over the past decade and attracted many top tier industry figures.

A series of key upgrades will be rolled out over the coming months as part of The London Broker’s back end revamp. These include automated marketing, broader prospecting tools, AML and compliance management, lettings support, client accounting, property PR, and an integrated cross referral network. A new equity scheme will also allow agents to share in the long term value created. The parties have confirmed that the transaction is a business asset purchase rather than an acquisition of the former limited company.

Both sides have said the move will strengthen support for independent operators, including sales agents, buying agents and boutique firms, and provide a powerful alternative to the traditional estate agency model. The leadership team driving the combined platform includes Charlie Willis (Chairman of The London Broker), Nick Carter (Founder of Harding Green) and Rupert Collingwood (Founder of The London Broker).

The London Broker was set up in 2017 and recently expanded its international reach through its affiliation with global network Leading Real Estate Companies of the World. Those on The London Broker’s approximately 40 strong roster typically have more than 20 years’ experience, with recent joiners including Philippa Bromley Martin, Jez Moore, Adam Carey, Silvina Paz, Nat Wilde and Neil Laman.

Harding Green was founded in the same year by former Chestertons director Nick Carter and has also been growing at pace, recruiting a series of high profile agents and launching an international offering under former UK Sotheby’s International Realty Managing Director Guy Bradshaw. The Luxury Property Forum is proud to see two of its members come together in a way that underlines the strength, innovation and ambition of the independent agency and brokerage community in the UK.

I am genuinely excited to be working alongside Charlie and Rupert, two of the most respected names in this industry. They have built a brand and a network of brokers that deserve real admiration, and combining their experience with the clear direction we have set for the future creates a strong foundation for what comes next.

“This move represents the beginning of a much larger vision. We have put a clear plan in place, and the full scale of what we are building will become increasingly evident over the course of next year. This is an important moment for independent agency and brokerage in the United Kingdom, and we have significant ambitions to create something that will move the industry forward.
— Nick Carter, CEO of the Group

The London Broker was created to provide a professional, experience-led alternative to traditional agency models. Over the past eight years, we have built a respected brand supported by a network of highly experienced brokers across sales, lettings and buying. Our focus has always been on discretion, specialist knowledge and delivering a high standard of service to clients in the prime and super-prime markets.

“Working alongside Harding Green allows us to strengthen the support we offer while retaining the independence and identity that are central to The London Broker. The new structure enables us to invest in improved systems, enhance operational efficiency and expand the resources available to our brokers. I am confident that this next stage in our evolution will allow us to continue raising standards for both our brokers and our clients.
