Adapting for a Global Stage: An Interview with Priya Rawal

In this special edition of LPF Insider, we sit down with The Luxury Property Forum’s founder and CEO, Priya Rawal, to reflect on how far The LPF has come and where it’s heading next.

As The LPF celebrates over six years of championing excellence, collaboration, and innovation in the super-prime property sector, Priya shares the vision that sparked its creation, the values that continue to define its curated community, and the bold global expansion now underway. With the U.S. firmly in its sights, beginning with New York this is a timely conversation about the power of trusted networks, the future of luxury property, and what it means to build a legacy across borders.

So Priya, why did you establish The Luxury Property Forum?

The concept of The LPF was born out of necessity. While working as a construction lawyer on high-profile developments in London, I noticed a glaring gap: there was no dedicated network that brought together the full spectrum of professionals shaping the super-prime property market. I wanted to create a trusted space for collaboration across the entire value chain – developers, architects, interior designers, project managers, investors, contractors, lawyers, private banks and advisors.

And what sets The LPF apart from other industry networks?

Unlike broader real estate associations, The LPF is highly curated and intentionally cross-disciplinary. We champion quality over quantity. Our community is built around meaningful, high-trust relationships, not just surface-level networking. Importantly, we don’t just connect people, we elevate them through thought leadership, business development opportunities, and curated introductions that drive real results.

Your growth has been incredible. What initially catalysed the growth of The LPF in the UK?

The pandemic unexpectedly accelerated our growth. With in-person events off the table, we moved online. Our webinars and roundtables became a lifeline for luxury property professionals looking for guidance, connection and clarity. We grew rapidly, reaching over 100 vetted members through this virtual-first model, which now complements our in-person gatherings in London.

And for those who may not know, what does The LPF look like today?

The LPF is the official forum for the luxury property sector, representing the leading authority across the super-prime market. We bring together over 200 of the most respected developers, advisors, designers, suppliers and specialists for curated networking and strategic visibility. Our mission is to promote and protect our members while shaping a better, more collaborative, sustainable and inclusive industry.

Members benefit from a range of opportunities including inclusion in the LPF Directory, access to virtual and in-person events, and promotional features via LPF Insider and our social platforms. Higher membership tiers unlock more exclusive offerings, such as speaking opportunities, a private WhatsApp group, strategic advisory workshops, exclusive hosting rights and bespoke introductions.

International expansion has always been part of your plan. Why are you now expanding to the United States?

The U.S. is home to some of the most dynamic and influential luxury real estate markets in the world. As we look to expand globally, New York and Miami are natural next steps. These are hubs of wealth creation, innovation and cross-border investment. There’s a strong appetite here for curated, value-driven networking that cuts through the noise. That’s where we come in.

Our goal is to build a close network of firms and individuals across development, architecture, design, brokerage, family offices, construction, project management and specialist services. This U.S. community will work alongside our London and Dubai networks, shaping a new chapter for global collaboration in luxury real estate.

You already have a number of international members. What can U.S. companies expect from The LPF community?

We’re not a mass-membership organisation. We hand-select members from different disciplines to ensure diversity of thought and meaningful synergy. U.S. members can expect curated introductions to key collaborators, access to our global network of super-prime professionals, invitations to virtual forums and boutique in-person events (currently in London but soon to be stateside), and visibility and knowledge sharing through webinars, masterclasses and PR features. There’s also a dedicated Global WhatsApp group and strategic partnership opportunities.

It is definitely quality over quantity so how do you vet potential members?

The majority of members come to us on recommendation where our current members have worked with them. Prospective members undergo a formal application and interview process. We look at their track record in the super-prime space, alignment with our values, and their willingness to engage meaningfully. We are not for everyone and that’s intentional. This selective approach ensures the integrity and value of the community for all members.

And you have always championed changing the luxury property industry for the better. What are your broader goals for The LPF as the official forum for this sector?

Beyond growth, our vision is to positively impact the future of the luxury property industry. We want The LPF to be a platform that champions the next generation of the industry. This includes supporting mentorship, apprenticeships and the revival of traditional crafts such as joinery, ironmongery and gilding – skills that are foundational to the richness of super-prime property but increasingly at risk.

We also aim to drive sustainability. While luxury properties can be inherently resource-intensive, the industry must do better. From reducing construction waste to designing more consciously, our role is to challenge and inspire our members to lead change. We want The LPF to be at the centre of that conversation, facilitating honest discussions and driving innovative solutions.

And as a growing industry body, we are committed to influencing policy on issues that matter to our members. The luxury property sector is a vital part of the global economy, and it deserves a strong, thoughtful voice.

And finally what is your message to luxury property professionals in the U.S?

If you’re looking for a strategic, high-integrity community that opens doors and builds legacy, we’d love to connect. The LPF is more than a forum. It’s a movement – one that is coming to the U.S. with collaboration, excellence and vision at its core.
